this piece was made while attending the atlantic center for the arts residency program. it was a response to a poem that was given to me by the poet, jean lehrman, in which there was a line:
cicadas make a curtain of sound
each square was hand cut and then adhered from top to bottom, boustrophedonically, (that is bi-directionally, as opposed to unidirectionally).
